The Loake Story
Founded by three brothers — Thomas, John, and William Loake — the brand quickly established itself as one of the finest shoemakers in Northamptonshire's famous 'boot and shoe triangle'. The Goodyear welting process that Loake uses allows the upper and sole to be stitched together with a welt — meaning the sole can be replaced when worn, rather than discarding the entire shoe. It's a method that demands more time and skill but produces a demonstrably superior result: footwear that ages beautifully and lasts a lifetime with proper care.

The shoes range at Parkinson's Lifestyle reflects Loake's full breadth. Classic Oxford and Derby styles include the Aldwych in dark brown calf leather, the Chester Dainite Brogue, the Badminton Derby Brogue, the Chatsworth Dainite, and the 771 Derby in burgundy polished.
